Glenn commenced his racing career, racing a Honda Odyssey in the Trike and Odyssey Racing Club (TORC) in 1984, competing in his first event at Wattle Speedway in Drouin.
Over the proceeding 3 years, Glenn competed in the Stock class for FL 250 machines, finishing 3rd in the Championship.
Glenn also raced clubman Go Karts across Victoria and Queensland competing in a range events including the now defunct, Cranbourne Street Meeting and was instrumental in establishing the inaugural Melbourne Kart Grand Prix, for both Sprint and Super Karts, conducted along St Kilda Road Melbourne during Moomba Festivities. T
This event attracted unprecedented media exposure and positioned Karting before a huge Moomba audience. Glenn returned to TORC, racing an Honda FL 350, in 2007. In his first outing at the clubs purpose built Mini Buggy track in Kyneton, Glenn beat all comers, dominating his class.
In 2008, Glenn took possession of a new SDAV Hot Rod. The car, was powered by a Ford Windsor v8 and proved to be a very reliable, if not dated race car. Campaigning the car for two years before updating to a new car, built by Allen Picher and based on a Tognotti Sprintcar. The car uses mostly Sprintcar Technology including Chev power plant, Winters Quick Change rear end and a Bert Box. Glenn loves competing in the SDAV Hot Rods, as the category has a family friendly approach where all teams support each other. Along with Crew Chief Andrew “Wally Wallace,” from Wally’s Design and Fabrication, the team always aim to present the FMG 99 Hot Rod in pristine condition. Whenever Glenn drives onto a race track, he feels he has succeeded as he spent a lifetime, dreaming of the day he would finally race a Hot Rod. Now that these days are happening, Glenn aims to begin to commence to climb through the field. Glenn proudly boasts to being the 8th fastest SDAV Hot Rod racer in the world, a fair achievement.
